So let's look at that list..

IM / SEO / Web projects

Games site (Article on the concept and Journal)
    I so FAILED that.
Half assed it, as the new job was more demanding than I thought.

    Drone site
Building this out to flip still - FAIL

    SaaS project
Didn't happen, but was on the backburner anyway. NEUTRAL

    Stomach balloon site
Getting uncomfortable with the number of projects? Don't be, This is completely passive at the moment.
The site covers my hosting expenses, but not much more (unlikely to grow much, too)
I have a few changes in mind, but nothing urgent or too time-consuming.
Will open a journal for this, but there will not be much activity :D

haha. This one blew up into a full project and journal when my hoster decided to be shit.
Built it up to the former glory, now need to add to it, improve (more on that in the 2017 thread)

Lose weight and get back into a fitness regime.

    Get a job
Yep. got a job in March and went on to manage IT projects north of 1mil USD. Yikes.

    Get papers
Gladly failed this, as I was employed after two months.

Get back into code. 10 years in management now, so the distance to the actual code got more and more pronounced.
We are talking Python (my crush at the moment), PHP, HTML5 / CSS3 / Javascript
Did some coding, but not as much as I'd have liked.

    Did OK on that

    Overall, a weird year.
New job got me onto a new level professionally, but also did not leave much time next to it.

    Let's see about 2017.

Overall, sounded like a good year. Interested to see what you're planning on doing with Python. I have a couple of projects on the back burner right now that require Python so was just curious. Cheers to all of us accomplishing our goals in 2017. Off to a pretty good start so far.

Pretty much build a solid foundation.

I have done advanced (NLP and stats) projects using python, but I basically just jumped right in, using a combination of google programming and developer knowledge from other languages.
Now I want to build a solid foundation and really get python.
